Damper

Privacy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Damper is currently a public beta for automatic solo-piano transcription. This notice describes the data used by the beta service.

Files you upload

Your audio is used only to create the requested MIDI transcription. The audio, intermediate analysis and resulting MIDI are stored on the processing server and are automatically removed after 24 hours.

Service data

The service temporarily uses the connecting IP address to enforce upload limits and protect availability. Rate-limit history is held in server memory and is not used for advertising or profiling.

Accounts, cookies and analytics

The current beta has no user accounts, advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Nothing about your visit is sent to another company.

The service keeps its own daily totals — how many pages were opened, how many recordings were uploaded, how many transcriptions succeeded or were refused, and how many MIDI files were downloaded. These are counts only: no IP addresses, no browser identifiers, no file names, nothing that could single you out. Account and payment processing will receive a separate notice before those features are activated.

Your responsibility

Only upload recordings you are entitled to process. Do not upload confidential material during the public beta.
